EPHP’s work with waste management teams and professionals to help the public and industries to properly reduce and dispose of their wastes. By assisting waste management teams in things such as public programs, the EPHP can make waste management easier and more efficient to the public and the disposal teams. EPHP’s can also provide education and information to individuals through programs, events and media such as class and office sessions, brochures, ads and conventions.

Source reduction works to reduce the amount of waste that will be produced from the product or it’s production. Solutions such as packaging-free goods or reusable containers can reduce the amount of waste that is produced to package the products and by developing new easier to dispose of, the end process to dispose of plastics would be much less harmful.  By working with specialists and officials, EPHP’s can devise new solutions to plastic pollution, and the amount of plastics ending up in our ocean will be reduced tenfold.
